About

Mobility is a word on the lips of virtually every business. They want to enable customers and employees to access services anywhere, and at any time. What is not so commonly discussed is the best practices for putting these services into user's hands. How do we mobile-enable businesses in a flexible, secure and visible way?

With greater regularity, the first contact point between enterprises and their customers will be though a mobile device, and ensuring a consistent, high quality experience throughout the buying cycle necessitates a strategy which treats the mobile channel as a every bit as important as traditional websites.

In this workshop we will explore the practical requirements of a ‘mobile first’ strategy, from techniques for providing a consistent web presence across devices through to the creation of rich, mobile-friendly interfaces based upon existing SOA infrastructure. It will also walk you through the security and governance requirements of exposing these interfaces to the outside world. This approach is designed to enable both in-house mobile applications as well as providing a powerful platform for external app developers to leverage in their own mobile applications.
